Yikes, what were they smoking when they came up with this one? Perhaps the most bizarre boss of them all, Kimkou is an extraterrestrial freak of nature straight out of your darkest nightmares. Oh, and did I mention it has a human face sticking out of it's constantly open mouth?Did you know that in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia there is a boss called Arthroverta who looks a lot like Kimkou? Just check out this screenshot and you can see the similarity.
Kimkou makes its first appearance.
Slightly smaller in appearance, but just as deadly. But watch out, this one tries to ram into you!
A very different species, possibly due to mutation. He also brought a twin along for the battle.
Kimkou is given a new, sleeker design, with more emphasis on the freaky face.
We now see that this is only Kimkou's larval stage. Once you've dealt him enough damage the outer shell dies and out bursts his moth-like adult form.
Back to the old Contra III look, but Kimkou is now reduced to a small enemy that comes in large numbers.
